Claudia Smith
Claudia has exhibited in many juried and
non-juried shows, one-woman shows,
galleries, non-gallery related businesses,
and an invitational. Her paintings, with their
accompanying poems, have won numerous
awards--the latest being: First Place for
Mixed Media, in the FHCCA's 2008 Annual
Juried Art Show.
Her two-panel (diptych) oil painting,
with accompanying poem, Etched By
Water-Embraced By Time, is part of the
Community Center's permanent art
collection.
Claudia's newest work involves working
with stones, metal-wire, wood, and
"found" objects in a mixed media,
three-dimensional format entitled:
"Geo-Collage." she often incorporates
small prints of her original oils into the
composition.
